ACT & THE COLLEGE BOARD ANNOUNCE TENTATIVE PLANS FOR SUMMER AND FALL

With the uncertainty surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, the major testing services have had to rethink their traditional calendars.  While both the ACT and the College Board have announced revised plans for this summer and fall, these announcements can be seen as nothing more than tentative at this point.

As of now, the folks at ACT are holding out hope that conditions will improve enough in the short term, so they are maintaining their June 13 and July 18 test dates.

However, last week, the College Board announced the cancellation of their June test date.

Both organizations have announced similar plans for the fall: an increase in the number of test dates they will be offering, and an option for an at-home digital version, though the reception that idea has received from colleges and other organizations has been mixed, as the NY Times recently reported.

As always, our College Counseling Team will continue to stay abreast of these developments on a daily basis.
