COLLEGE ESSAY WRITING WORKSHOP RECAP
Last night, Deb Shaver, the Dean of Admissions at Smith College, presented an essay writing workshop to our juniors in order to help them gain insight into what admissions offices are looking for and what they like to see (and don’t like to see!) when reviewing college essays. (Thank you, Dean Shaver!) Remember, your essays allow you to add depth or a new dimension to your application, which may otherwise seem like a bland and flavorless version of you. So, take Dean Shaver’s advice and use her tip sheet (attached) to help you create an essay that will show colleges who you are and how you could be a good fit on their campuses.
