“HOW TO MAKE DEADLINES WORK FOR YOU”

Although it’s still early in December, as a college counselor, I see those January 1st application deadlines are hiding right behind the last day of classes on December 14th. There’s about a week left of school before break, and then all of our students will head off for vacation; many seniors are not currently thinking too much about their college applications. January 1st is probably the deadline when our students will submit most of their applications. . . and they won’t be on campus to work on them with us! So, as the article below says, “Think like a marathon runner.” You need to plan ahead and schedule internal deadlines for yourself ahead of the actual deadlines. Does that mean working on applications before you leave for break? YES!!!
