This summer and fall, our rising seniors will begin their college applications. At times, they will feel like these applications don’t give them a chance to show who they truly are. The best way to show who you are–versus telling what you’ve done–is to take part in an admissions interview. It’s a one-on-one conversation (not a challenging inquiry) meant to show a multidimensional view of you; you should not simply repeat what you’ve filled out on an online application. You should mention the information that will be on your application as examples but add much more context and character. I recommend reading the article below to think about the traits that you want to display when meeting with an admissions interviewer. Along with these five, always remember to be humble…
